Robert Buckley devotes his law practice
to transactions and litigation services for both small and large
businesses. Prior to starting his practice he served as a Senior
Litigation Attorney for Digital Equipment Corporation and had been
General Counsel for Bank One New Hampshire Asset Management Corporation.
Buckley grew up in Claremont, NH, attended Dartmouth
and Boston University Law School and has practiced for more than
30 years. From 1969 to 1990 he was in private practice in Claremont
and Norwich, VT. In 1990 he joined the Federal Deposit Insurance
Corporation where he served as Corporate and Commercial Section
Chief and Litigation Counsel and Section Chief. Buckley became General
Counsel for Bank One New Hampshire Asset Management in 1993. During
the pendency of Digital Equipment Corporation's lawsuit against
Intel Corporation, Buckley served as a Senior Attorney responsible
for Digital's U.S. and international commercial litigation, software
licensing and trade secret protection.
Buckley returned to the Upper Valley in 1998 and has
concentrated his practice since then on financial and business transactions,
technology, employment and regulatory issues and related litigation.
Rob Buckley is married to Hope Cannon, a family
therapist practicing in Woodstock, VT. They have three grown children.
